Successful Applications

The successful applications submitted for the second round of the CIC Start Online competition for feasibility studies were as follows:

  • "Tarryholme Sustainable Housing Project, Irvine" by University of Strathclyde Glasgow and Assist Design
  • "Solar-Wall systems for domestic heating: an affordable solution for fuel poverty" by Heriot Watt University and Changeworks
  • "An Investigation of the Adoption of Low-Carbon Technologies by Scottish Housing  Associations" by Robert Gordon University and Anderson Bell and Christie
  • "Assessing the energy impact of different strategies of integrating PV/Thermal Heat Recovery systems in Scottish homes" by the Glasgow School of Art and Robert Ryan Homes

The successful applications for academic consultancy were as follows:

  • "In-service testing of a prototype dwellings in relation to passive versus active ventilation strategies" by University of Strathclyde Glasgow and Assist Design.
  • "9-11 Gilmour's close - comparing theoretical performance against their actual performance " by the Glasgow School of Art and Assist Architects.

The third round of the competition for joint academic/industry feasibility studies and for 10-days free academic consultancy is currently open. The submission deadline is 17 September 2010.
